Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued less than ten are said to be worth their printed number whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they only appear as the two hands to be played).
2 hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand shall be the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five will have a total score of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card could be given depending on the following rules:
- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, the two bettors stand.
- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays eight to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties will happen lower than one every ten hands. Run away from wagering on a tie. Still, odds are appreciably better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)
Played accurately, baccarat presents pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future results. Monitoring of previous outcomes on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most common and feasibly most successful technique is the one-three-two-six method. This process is deployed to pump up profits and reducing risk.
Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth bet.
If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
