Baccarat Standards
Baccarat banque is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two cards are dealt to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum of the cards, but the beginning number is dropped. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a value of one (five plus six = 11; drop the initial ‘one’).
A third card can be given using the rules below:
- If the player or bank has a value of eight or nine, both players stay.
- If the player has less than five, he takes a card. Players stays otherwise.
- If the gambler holds, the bank hits on a total lower than five. If the player hits, a guide is employed to see if the house stays or takes a card.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the house payout 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. The Rake is recorded and paid off when you leave the table so be sure to still have cash left over before you quit). Winning bets on the gambler pay one to one. Winning wagers for a tie typically pay 8 to 1 but on occasion 9:1. (This is a poor bet as ties occur lower than one in every 10 hands. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)
Gambled on correctly punto banco provides pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Method
As with all games baccarat banque has quite a few accepted myths. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of events about to happen. Keeping score of past outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary desires.
The most established and almost certainly the most favorable strategy is the one, three, two, six technique. This method is employed to maximize earnings and minimizing risk.
Start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add another to the two on the game table for a total of three chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will now have six on the game table, pull off four so you are left with 2 on the third round. If you come away with a win on the 3rd round, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth round.
Should you lose on the 1st wager, you take a hit of one. A win on the initial wager followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a hit of 2. Success on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a gain of two. And success on the first three with a defeat on the 4th means you are even. Winning all 4 rounds gives you with 12, a take of ten. This means you are able to give up the second bet 5 times for every successful run of four bets and still experience no loss.
