Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are counted at face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they purely portray the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 … five results in a tally of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be given out depending on the foll. standards:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, both players stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie typically pay out 8 to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is an awful bet as ties happen less than one every 10 hands. be wary of betting on a tie. Nevertheless odds are considerably better – 9 to one vs. 8 to one)

When done correctly, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is surely not an indicator of future happenings. Monitoring of old results on a chart is a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and possibly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-6 concept. This process is deployed to increase successes and reducing risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
