Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are of their printed number meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they strictly appear as the two hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven … 5 produces a score of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be dealt depending on the foll. codes:

- If the player or banker has a total of eight or 9, each gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even money less a five % commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pay out 8 to 1 but on occasion nine to 1. (This is a crazy bet as ties occur less than one every 10 hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. However odds are decidedly better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)

Played correctly, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is not an indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of last outcomes on a chart is simply a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful strategy is the 1-three-2-six method. This process is employed to increase winnings and minimizing risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
