Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued less than ten are said to be at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they merely portray the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 and five gives a value of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be given depending on the foll. standards:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or nine, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money less a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pays eight to 1 and occasionally nine to one. (This is a crazy gamble as ties occur lower than one every ten hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. Still, odds are considerably better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When done effectively, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future happenings. Monitoring of old results on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and feasibly most successful method is the 1-three-2-6 scheme. This plan is used to accentuate profits and cutting back risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
