Baccarat Standards
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under ten are give a value of their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they strictly portray the 2 hands to be played).
2 hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven … five results in a tally of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the foll. guidelines:
- If the player or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two players stand.
- If the player has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores wins. Successful wagers on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have dollars left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pay out eight to 1 and occasionally 9 to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties will happen lower than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Even so odds are greatly better – 9 to 1 versus eight to one)
Played effectively, baccarat provides pretty good odds, away from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Tracking of previous results on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most commonly used and possibly most successful technique is the one-three-two-six technique. This plan is employed to build up payouts and reducing risk.
start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of six on the 4th gamble.
If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
